Tune in to readings from Jewell Parker Rhodes’ “Towers Falling” over the course of the next 10 weeks at 12/30 on Sundays on KHOL. Teton County School District Munger Mountain Elementary School teacher Libby Crews-Wood will be reading a selection from the book that has been selected by TCSD and Teton County Library for its’ first “One Book, One Community” read. If you miss it on the day of, the selections will be aired via podcast by the end of the week following the reading.
The Library Foundation purchased 600 copies of the novel and the TCSD distributed them to graduating fourth and fifth graders on June 11. The students were asked to read the book over the course of the summer and also perform a series of social related interviews with people who were affected by Sept. 11, 2001, either because they lost someone or because they are affected by issues at the time or in the aftermath.
