Tim Sandlin, Executive Director, is a novelist and screenwriter. His novels include Sex and Sunsets, Western Swing, Honey Don’t, Jimi Hendrix Turns Eighty, Rowdy in Paris, and the GroVont Quartet, including his newest novel, Lydia. Movie credits include the Showtime original Floating Away, based on Sorrow Floats, and Skipped Parts, a TriMark film. He is also a contributor to the New York Times Book Review and has judged several writing competitions, including the Western States Book Awards.
Matt Daly, Assistant Director, is the author of Between Here and Home, published by Unsolicited Press in June of 2019, and the chapbook Red State, published by Seven Kitchens Press. He is the recipient of a Neltje Blanchan Award for writing inspired by the natural world and a Creative Writing Fellowship in Poetry from the Wyoming Arts Council. His poems have appeared in publications including Pilgrimage, The Cortland Review, and High Desert Journal as well as the Sixteen Rivers Press anthology American, We Call Your Name. Matt makes text-based art independently and in collaboration with visual, performing, and literary artists. He also teaches reflective and creative writing for medical professionals, humanitarian aid workers, secondary and college students, and others interested in the literary arts.
Anne Marie Wells, Outreach Director, moved to Jackson in 2014 after graduating with a Masters of Science from the Universdade de Coimbra in Portugal where she published her children’s book, Mamã, porque sou uma ave?/Mommy, Why Am I a Bird? Since then she has spent a large part of her time active in Jackson’s community theater as an actress and playwright. She earned first place in the Riot Act New Play Festival in 2017 for her play, Love and Radio (and Zombies… Kind Of), and earned second place in 2018 for her play, Last. Only. Best. Two of her other theatrical works have been produced locally: Miss Snicklefritz’s Murder Mystery: Ghouls, Duels, and Deals and The Unhappy Holiday Party. She is also an avid storyteller, having performed in several Cabin Fever Story Slams as well as The Moth Mainstage. When she’s not writing or performing, she’s reading, playing piano, or outdoors with her dog, Isabella Bird.
